Community Survey on Transit Issues
UTA is working with the cities of Bluffdale, Draper, Lehi, Sandy, and South Jordan as well as Salt Lake County, the Utah Department of Transportation, the Wasatch Front Regional Council, and the Mountainland Association of Governments to plan for the future development, mobility, and sustainable growth and quality of life in southern Salt Lake County and northern Utah County.
One step in this process is a survey of residents living in the area. Beginning in late April 2020, a random sample of households from our partner cities within the study area will receive an invitation in the mail to participate in a survey on transit issues related to the Point of the Mountain. The survey is designed to understand residents’ views on development and transportation alternatives as the region continues to grow. Responses will help UTA, local cities, and other agencies better meet residents’ needs and expectations and decide how best to use public resources.
“The Point of the Mountain community is an amazing place to live, work and play; and this survey will help us better plan for future growth and development that sustains the quality of life we all value,” says Patti Garver, UTA Point of the Mountain Transit Study Project Manager. “I encourage those who receive this survey to participate and help us chart our community’s future.”
