Who We Are
Transit ambassadors are a team of 12 specially trained staff dedicated to enhancing the rider experience on the TRAX Blue Line in Salt Lake City. They offer support to all passengers, with a focus on helping those facing barriers or in need of resources. Centered on safety and inclusivity, the program aims to foster a welcoming and positive transit environment for everyone.
What We Do
The primary goal of transit ambassadors is to enhance the UTA rider transit journey. We provide a range of services, including:
- Connecting riders to directions and route information
- Rider rules and transit education
- Providing community & UTA resource referrals
- Accessing information about paying fares
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Reporting cleanliness and system needs
Note: Transit ambassadors are not transit police or security officers. Ambassadors and officers both provide support to riders, but ambassadors are not law enforcement and do not act as transit security.
